Bluejay Baseball
With Ed Servais now in his 21st season as Creighton’s head baseball coach, the Bluejays look to continue reaching ever greater heights. Under Servais the Bluejays have finished in the NCAA’s top-10 in fielding 12 times (including second in 2021 while second baseman Andrew Meggs was a Rawlings Gold Glove finalist).
This season, Servais and the Bluejays hope to capitalize on every opportunity. The Creighton lineup features a strong core with three of the four top hitters from last season. Back for another season are junior catcher Hogan Helligso, designated hitter Jack Grace, shortstop Nolan Clifford as well as outfielders Nolan Sailors and Tate Gillen. Creighton returns Dominic Cancellieri and Cade Lommel to the rotation, while transfer Jimmy Burke is scheduled to get the ball on Saturday.
You can make a difference
Your Giving Day gift will help the team continue to compete for BIG EAST Conference and NCAA national championships, in addition to recruiting, retaining and graduating our tremendous student-athletes.
You are a pivotal part of our success. With your support of Creighton baseball, you help our legacy live on. You join us in our everlasting pursuit of excellence — on the field and in the classroom.
"Since we moved to the BIG EAST, it hasn’t just been the players and coaches who have had to give more of themselves, but everyone who supports us, everyone who works behind the scenes to make all of Creighton what it is."
— Ed Servais, baseball head coach
The BIG EAST Conference
Our move to the BIG EAST Conference in 2013 brought an unprecedented level of national attention to Creighton.
It also created countless opportunities for our nearly 300 student-athletes, who have access to some of the best coaches, faculty and facilities in the nation.
Your Giving Day support will ensure that Creighton Athletics continues to meet the financial obligations of the BIG EAST Conference while recruiting, retaining and graduating some of the very best student-athletes in the nation.
The University has flourished this past decade in the BIG EAST. And it's due not only to the bigger platform the conference has given us but what the Creighton community has done with that platform. With every new game, our coaches, players, students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and fans have taken every opportunity to show the larger world who we are.
What is Giving Day?
It’s the day you make a difference for Creighton University.
The day you can support our most immediate areas of need.
The day thousands of donors like you come together to make a huge collective impact, one gift at a time.
P.S. — Your gift will also support Creighton's historic Forward Blue fundraising campaign!
