Phoenix – Pharmacy Program
With the support of donors like you, Creighton will change the face of healthcare in the Southwest and form a new generation of compassionate, well-trained professionals ready to meet the needs of our communities.
Since Creighton began its presence in Phoenix, a growing number of Creighton-educated providers have stayed in Arizona. Creighton also has a large network of health sciences alumni throughout the state.
Your support will help the pharmacy program in Phoenix address some of its most immediate needs, including scholarships, programs, faculty support and more. It will infuse the area with some of the most real-world-ready pharmacists in the nation.
Extensive hands-on opportunities will prepare them for the field. Dedicated faculty and staff will ensure they flourish. A Jesuit-inflected humanities curriculum will inspire them not just to treat the illness but meet the needs of the whole person, in a spirit of service and compassion.
Our pharmacy students are here, learning and serving, because of you. Your support makes everything — this campus, this education, this mission — possible.
A top-ranked pharmacy program
At Creighton, we form competent and compassionate pharmacists prepared to care for the whole person in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis. A career in pharmacy allows our students to make a difference in the health and well-being of the individuals they serve.
Creighton's pharmacy program is a true pioneer in higher education, with the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions offering the first distance-based Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) pathway.
Today, Creighton's is one of the top-ranked pharmacy programs in the nation.
The building was just the beginning
In 2021, hundreds of students, faculty and staff walked into a beautiful new building in midtown Phoenix. This building, this moment, was both the culmination of a dream and the answer to a question: How can we help?
How can we deepen our longtime ties to a city’s medical community into something greater? How can we infuse more healthcare professionals into a state that needs them now?
In the end, the answer was a beacon, a new home for the Creighton health sciences in Phoenix—the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Health Sciences Building.
In the short time it’s been open, the campus has already drawn hundreds more medical, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy and occupational therapy students to the city.
At full enrollment, the Creighton University Health Sciences Campus in Phoenix will accommodate about 1,000 students, including pharmacists and other healthcare professionals, to help meet the state’s booming population and the growing needs of aging and diverse demographics.
