Phoenix – Physician Assistant Program
With the support of donors like you, Creighton will change the face of health care in the Southwest and form a new generation of compassionate, well-trained professionals ready to meet the needs of our communities.
Your support will help the Physician Assistant Program in Phoenix address some of its most immediate needs, including scholarships, programs, faculty support and more. It will infuse the area with some of the most real-world-ready PAs in the nation.
Extensive hands-on opportunities will prepare them for the field. Dedicated faculty and staff will ensure they flourish. A Jesuit-inflected humanities curriculum will inspire them not just to treat the illness but meet the needs of the whole person, in a spirit of service and compassion.
Our physician assistant students are here, learning and serving, because of you. Your support makes everything — this campus, this education, this mission — possible.
About the program
The Physician Assistant Program's mission is to foster a tradition of excellence by transforming learners into compassionate PAs who are dedicated to exemplary patient care. Rooted in our Ignatian heritage, we empower students to realize their full potential through a commitment to professional growth and service to humanity.
The 28-month Master’s level curriculum is led by a team of experienced faculty with a rich history of leadership in the PA profession at the local, state and national levels. PA students at Creighton experience an inter-professional, broad-based medical education in an environment of reflective learning designed to transform them into exemplary healthcare providers.
The building was just the beginning
In 2021, hundreds of students, faculty and staff walked into a beautiful new building in midtown Phoenix. This building, this moment, was both the culmination of a dream and the answer to a question: How can we help?
How can we deepen our longtime ties to a city’s medical community into something greater? How can we infuse more healthcare professionals into a state that needs them now?
In the end, the answer was a beacon, a new home for the Creighton health sciences in Phoenix—the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust Health Sciences Building.
In the short time it’s been open, the campus has already drawn hundreds more medical, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, physical therapy and occupational therapy students to the city.
At full enrollment, the Creighton University Health Sciences Campus in Phoenix will accommodate about 1,000 students, including PAs and other healthcare professionals, to help meet the state’s booming population and the growing needs of aging and diverse demographics.
